Montana is a beautiful destination and a great option for any bride looking for a mountain themed weekend away. Montana is a huge state with many different options, from a remote mountain in the woods to a luxurious ski resort to growing cities. Bonus points if you love craft beer because Montana has an amazing brewery scene.
Montana is a less populated area. This means that you likely won’t have a crazy party-til-you-drop experience, but Montana is a great bachelorette destination for a group looking to experience the outdoors.
The ultimate Montana bachelorette guide
Here’s what you need to know before booking a Montana bachelorette party:
- Your location – Do you want to stay in a city or in the woods?

- The season you’re visiting – A Montana winter is not for the faint of heart. When are you visiting?
The best destinations in Montana to visit for your bachelorette party
The best cities and destinations to book for your Montana bachelorette party are:
Bozeman for gorgeous hikes
Bozeman is the fourth largest city in Montana and is home to Montana State University. There’s a world renowned ski resort right outside of town and the city is growing quickly as more people flock to the area.
The best things to do in Bozeman for your bachelorette party are to go on one of the many beautiful hikes in the area, float the river, drink on Main Street and to relax in the wilderness.
You can fly into Bozeman, but the airport is slightly outside of the city center. We recommend Ubering to your final destination if you visit in the winter and aren’t comfortable on winter roads.
Missoula for amazing craft breweries
Missoula is another beautiful city nestled between mountains in west Montana. This city is home to the University of Montana and one of the best brewery scenes in the United States. Missoula is a craft beer mecca and is only a couple of hours from Glacier National Park.
The best things to do in Missoula for your bachelorette party are to tour the breweries, book the pedal pub, spend a spa day at one of the hotels and book a delicious dinner at one of the fanciest restaurants in town.
Missoula is a great option because you can fly directly into the city. There is an airport about a 15 minutes drive from downtown.
Whitefish for the ski town vibes
Whitefish is a small ski town in the northwest corner of Montana. Whitefish is home to one of the best ski resorts in the US and is surrounded by rivers, lakes and great hiking. The town of Whitefish is also adorable and idyllic, making this a great option for your bachelorette.
You cannot fly directly into the town itself, but can fly into the Kalispell or Glacier Park airports that are less than an hours drive away.
How much a Montana bachelorette party costs
The cost of your bachelorette party will vary depending on the location you stay in, how far away you live and if you are booking many activities. However, if you live out of state, you can expect to pay between $1,000 and $2,000 for a bachelorette weekend in Montana.
Staying in Bozeman or Whitefish will be more expensive than Missoula, as Missoula is slightly more affordable. You can also look into budget options like booking an A-frame or a campsite for the group.
